1985 GT Pro Performer

My Pink n White Rider

Purchased the bike off craigslist in survivor condition. It was the complete bike except for a few odds and ends. Was gonna keep it original but some of the paint had been chipped off and some rust was starting to appear. Decided to keep the bike its original color and powder the accesories pink in memory of the 86 pink gt pro that was stolen from me when I was a kid. The shimano pedals were a gift from the seller. He gave me three sets of cranks and the shimano dx pedals were on one set. Said he didnt have tools to take them off so I could keep them. When I got the bike home I went over to a newly aquired gt buddy to ID the parts for me. I was very green and he was kind enough to help me with the info on the parts. I found a tutorial on here that someone posted on how to restore the shimano dx pedals. They were badly scuffed on the ends. After I put it together I didnt realize that the bike came out so nice. Gonna be great to ride my gt once again around town. Im not 16 anymore but it surely is a great feeling of accomplishment to relive my youth once more. The Gt is still a work in progress as I await the fork standers and one more component to the front Dia Compe Nippon brakes to complete her. Anyhow enjoy the pics. Jay

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness............-Emo Philips
