Re: Hutch PRO STAR Unboxed! - WOW! Thanks Tortuga!

Thanks.  My other rare Hutch showed up today and was unboxed as well.  My Hutch Trail Star:

The chrome is pretty much shot.  I'm torn on what to do with this one.  Rechrome?  Powdercoat?  I'm not sure how much I want to stick into my new rider.

I  brought the wheels over to Caleb's to lace.  Caleb's lacing skills are amazing!  And he just got a new load of Chromium Asahi spokes in.  Here's my wheels after being built:

Thanks for the kind words, those did turn out super nice and are straight as an arrow, and they spin perfectly round. Just beautiful, this is one bad A$$ ride. Are you entering race class, or survivor class?

Anyone can hit me up for wheel lacing, I charge less than most bike shops, even with the shipping it's still less.

I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy. smile

I hear ya Caleb those hoops were the nicest I've ever owned, since the 80's of course. It was hard to let go of those parts, but that bike deserved them. Can't wait to see it done... C'mon Brian hurry up all ready. big_smile

Re: Hutch PRO STAR Unboxed! - WOW! Thanks Tortuga!

I made some progress tonight after work.  I don't see why it won't be completely built this weekend.  Its definitely a lot easier putting existing race bikes back together after a few parts changes and a thorough cleaning that building the elaborate freestyle bikes with obscure parts that I'm used to building.  Here's where it stands:
