Re: 1987 GT Performer

ugh, that's the exact bike i had; i love the white on white.  that neck's up pretty high.  big_smile

very cool performer!

Looking for GT Performer forks - maybe.  Lemme know what you have!

V-bars, knobby tires, and chain guards - Oh, yeah!  big_smile

Re: 1987 GT Performer

It looks great but since you asked I would change a few things. Get freestyle tires for sure. Also I would go with white pedals and cables. I'n not a big fan of the solid painted chains either. I would get one that has white outer links instead of all white. It's still very nice though and just need little stuff to be perfect! In the end it's your bike though. If you are happy leave it!

Re: 1987 GT Performer

let me start by sayn"beautifull bike bro!! that said. when i 1st looked at it i thought the same thing as skwerly... u should lower that neck a little but if it up for your comfort than leave it!! all bikes should be ridden!! I'm not a fan of the solid color chains either! kmc has them in whit/black and ybn also has them in white/nickle!! gusset also makes a cool light weight chain in white/nickle!! i recently put a blue/nicke gusset chain on my GT! as far as the tire go they look great but the GT freestyles are defiantly awesome but if u ride you don't want to beat up an old school GT freestyle tire! maby get them for show cuz they would really set this baby off! i love this bike the way sits! just given u some ideas! great job!! i want it!! lol!!
