Newbie to the museum here.

Just like to say hello. Been lurking on this site pat month or so and ready to contribute.
Been riding bikes for quite a while but had gotten away from BMX. Ride mountain bikes currently on trails and cruise the streets on a 80's Madwagon.
Below is my mountain bike,

I have a eight year old and picked up an older Mongoose which i believe is a 1993. Not sure if expert, pro etc.
All original minus rims as this bike was a Katrina survivor. Took some work to get it looking this way.
This is what my son rides on trails with me. It's slow going but he is learning. Below are pics.

I purchased a new bike for him to cruise around with me on. It is an entry level Fit. This is a really nice bike. Pic below

Well i got the bug to get an old Mongoose similar to what i has when i was a kid so i flea bayed and bought a frame and fork combo.
It's a 81 nickel plated matching frame and fork. It cleaned up nicely, not perfect. I will do a basic restoration. Leaving original decals and sourcing period parts
little by little. I already picked up some cranks and handle bars from two people on this site. Pics below.

Last pic is of my Mountain bike converted for street, one speed 44/13 gearing. strictly for hualing ass.
Coincidentally the two Mongoose's are of the same era. Early 90's.
Thanks for checking out the post!
