Looks truly awesome in person.Really????
Have you been to my apartment in Philly?
You might have it mistaken for a different GT.
But thank you for the compliment.
The bike is actually complete with the correct pedals and all now. I need to update the pics badly.whew ... thought you sold it!!!

Yup, Darkman mistakened yours for the one from RI at BMX Spring Brake: (http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.p … 9&p=26)
Which by the way had SICK GT chrome rear frame standers!

Cool.
Thanks for figuring that out Justin.
That GT is nicer than mine!

Yup... I was mistaken. Sorry Man.
Still a seriously nice bike you have. Very beutiful, the chrome just drops of it.

Less some decals, different pedals and pegs, both are the same!
If it makes you feel better, I will gladly give it a new home. Don't hesitate!!
I spoke w/ the RI owner of the other GT (forgot his name) and we are both addicted to late 80s freestyle bikes.
He has a much more impressive collection than me (especially w/ his polishing skills).
I would've bought his chrome Q bars (like the one in your '89 GT picture at the top) but I bought a pretzel already.
Cheers.
My stash. Ride on.

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
Some build/progress pics (in various stages) from the past few years .
2005 (with super pros, RL edge tires, straight post, 1990 PFT bars, a weird stem bolt, and mid-90s pedals)
2008-9
FINISHED 2011
(Sorry for the lousy pics - it was sundown and about to rain - camera was pissed.)

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
More pics of previous update...
THEN.....
I rider-ized it with some non-vintage tires, a different set of GT Power Series cranks that already had the label worn off, and a used set of KKT Pedals. I put my GT/Araya Race wheelset on here for now until I get the Superlaces tuned back up and trued.
Rides great - as it always did.
These pics were from a nice session about a month ago before all the leaves fell off the trees.

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
I just found an OLD pic of this bike, taken in 1990.
I was in my Black and White Photography phase.
Who remembers "Fuct"?
I had those stickers everywhere.

Just look at the Thrashin' I put on those cranks....
I needed them for a reason. I rode every day and night back then.
When you keep bending 1-pc cranks, these were Well Worth the $125 they cost back in 1988.
Up until I started rebuilding and collecting BMX stuff in the early 2000's - these cranks were the last set of cranks I had ever bought. They went on all of my bikes.
I still swear by them today.

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
Rad... I just scored this thing yesterday.
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.
