This Dyno is JACKED UP

I picked up this Dyno frame set off of here and as Im mocking it up for the first time I run into some issues. I first noticed that I had to spread the rear alot to get the rim on and then started to notice the lines of the rear of the bike are all none  symetrical. So I lay the frame on one side it acts like a see-saw when I flip it over its like a bridge. sad sad sad. Can this be saved or ? None of the for sale pics showed or mentioned any issues .Im very bumbed Ive been working my sales gearing towards this build .I get ocd and cant sleep sweating stupid junk like this.
What would you do ?

Re: This Dyno is JACKED UP

Bummer. Take it to a bike shop with some frame alignment tools. They could tell you how bad off it is.

The rear trianlge looks pushed off to one side like the bike was hit by a car or the rider took a nasty spill.

Re: This Dyno is JACKED UP

How well was i packed for shipping to you?  If the box you recieved it in was not damaged then I would assume the seller knew about this prior to listing it.  Good luck with the frame in your first picture you can clearly see an issue.  If anyone is interested the links below to sellers postings.

Re: This Dyno is JACKED UP

It's super easy to fix. It'll want to bend back. I use a frame puller, or isolate the bent spot over some wood sawhorses, use a slide hammer and pull the bars back. The slide hammer kit has a curved grabber that puts very minimal dents on the frame. Looks like someone stomped on it a bit actually. If it's aluminum, it just might shatter bending it back, gotta go real slow with aluminum so the metal doesn't want to heat and shear off.

I got lots of stuff, what you need? lol

I worked in a qualified shop for years. I recall cold setting (straightening) some guys prized Fat Chance MTB frame. I was the lightest mechanic there so I recall bouncing on one side of the triangle (wrapped in a towel) that we had over some wood blocks. Bounce, then check alignment, bounce again, check alignment ect.

We did have proper frame alignment tools but cro mo is stronger than you may think so getting a bit cave man on a frame is sometimes necessary.

Re: This Dyno is JACKED UP

The top platform looks factory welded lopsided but, the right arm of the rear triangle is definatley the problem- you can see where it bends in just below the brake bridge.  The seller might not have noticed it prior to selling and it looks like it should be an easy fix.  Discuss the issue with the seller before your attempt to correct it.

That seems fair, if you get partial refund you could use the money you get back to have it straightened

Re: This Dyno is JACKED UP

To me it looks off at the plate behind the seat mast? A friend of mine bought a redline like this about a month ago he picked it up in hopes of selling or trading it to me but when he sent me pics I said man that frame looks bent the forks were way raked out like they used them to try to pull the frame once he took it apart and layed it on it's side he could tell it sure looked like it got ran over, the frame you have looks like an earlier dyno frames given it has the single plate behind seat mast it's worth a shot to try and fix it
