REDLINE RL20, RL20a Prostylers Thread
I have seen other threads for various makes and models of bikes but I hadn't seen one for this model yet.
So post up what you have, F+F sets, completes, projects etc. Let's keep it to RL20, RL20a Prostylers. If you have any magazine ads feel free to post them up as well
This is my current project. I bought it from BrianP in March 2012 but I got distracted with trying to sell my house and move so this got shelved until now. It came complete as you see it. I have the rest of the parts but they are packed up.
1986 REDLINE RL20 Prostyler Turquoise
Some parts that are for my project

I get this question often so here it is to save everyone time. I do not have any Mongoose DMC decals left. I was lucky enough to find a small bunch of NOS decal sets in an old bike shop that no longer exists and I have since sold them all. Sorry. I wish you all the best of luck with your DMC builds.

You are better off getting a bike and having it painted by whoever does your truck. The Redline turquoise and radberry are very allusive and many have tried to a match it few have succeeded.

Hmm, this will now become one of my favorite thread. Below are two of three RL20s that I own. The other one is still in progress.

Re: REDLINE RL20, RL20a Prostylers Thread
I love the red and Black.
These aren't my pics but they are of the bike I bought listed at the top. These pics show the bike with all of its parts. I do plan to remove the pink items and replace with something else.

Hazard Yellow one went on eBay a couple weeks ago... I wanted it so bad, but that thing got to 750, and I didn't have the excess money to pick it up.

I've had ALL the parts since '09 but can't bring myself to drop the cash on chrome and powder.

'86 Prostyler I've slowly been working on. Finally got the Peregrine 48's relaced with new spokes & red/blk nips. Just need to get brake cables and a chain.

I take it that the chrome is not in the best of condition. If I am wrong, why don't you leave it chrome? What colour are you planning to paint/pc it?
I have a third RL20 that has all the parts, just needs to be pc. But, I am still contemplating on whether to leave it as is or go all the way out.

John,
Where were you able to find the purple decals?

John,
Where were you able to find the purple decals?
I got them from JLewis, he's a member here and I had him make the 86 decals in 85 color combo.

Re: REDLINE RL20, RL20a Prostylers Thread
Wondering if hazard yellow fork lifter bars would look good on a turquoise frame? Can't picture it in my head. But I have a set of race fork lifters needing paint and I'm loving the hazard yellow builds here. Of course the Cali red makes me smile too.

Yeah I'll stick to traditional and hope to find a hazard yellow set one day.
