1988 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

SOLD

Restored Chrome 88 GT F/S Tour

I got this from a friend as a trade for the Frame & Forks.   It was stripped and resady to restore.  I always liked this bike and it's looks and style.  I used to ride with a kid that had this very same GT and color.  The decals are NOS, and the chrome is brand new, on the F&F and the GT Bars.  The cranks are survivor cranks that came off a 1988 Performer that I sold a while back.  They are in super condition, and I did not touch them.  The arms have the original screen printed logo's too!

Cool~  You doing a 1988 model?  I reproduced these decals too, from the originals before I used them.

Re: 1988 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Did you finally get the printers to do a white underlay before printing the colors? The one I bought from you was missing this step and the colors didn't show up on the black bike paint. Only the white "GT" showed up.

Re: 1988 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Yes, I changed that.  I was totally unaware that was happening.  I never pealed a set back and use them.  A guy from Austria mentioned it.  It is all fixed now.  Anyone that bought a set, I can sell them a new set at cost, which is $36 and I can ship them for that cost too.

The blue with the magenta lettering is the ones for the chrome bikes.  I can print on the chrome material, but the ink is not guaranteed to stick well enough to last.   Also, the chrome material is more of a silvery.  It is just a better idea to be on clear.

Let me know where I can help out.

Stephen

Re: 1988 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Yes, the correct color for the pink bikes, is the one with the baby blue brush, with  the white letters.  Unless you want to do it as the 88 catalog showed, it was the magenta brush with the white letters.  I don't think that bike like that was ever produced though...

Chroming is about $400, depending.

Re: 1988 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

They are GT Superlace hubs and Araya 7X's, NOS.
