Re: brian p

speedfreak, yes. here in NJ we have had 4 super rockin BBQ's in the past 2 years. 2 held by my friend steve, 2 held by me.
not to diss or anything, but it seems alot of people here are close minded about the 'other' sites around. if you dont like their rules, cool... that doesnt mean the people or things that are discussed on them sucks.
through VBMX we have hosted these BBQ's, they have attracted ALOT of people and bikes. heck, some winning bikes from rockford were at the 2 steve hosted, while i have had a joe kid viewing (before it was out) at my 1st, and the likes of mark eaton, large ray, gary pollack, brian blyther, maurice meyer, scott freeman all show up to my BBQ a bunch of them even came 2x.....
anyway, enuf rambling.

Re: brian p

man that is unreal, that is one hell of a collection, i think some get togethers like that arent too far away for this site, the numbers are growing, and the "family" feel had been born. i am a member over at a few others, but i like it here, no disrespect to vbmx, but from what i saw, they are kind of partial to only the top bikes, the others get the cold shoulder, but thats how it is, the people there are among the biggest in the scene, and their is no lack of knowledge. i guess its a lot like walking into a prada store to show off your new walmart jacket, its not the place, but here, everyone gets the same attention, and i think thats something a lot of us lacked when we were coming up in this sport. good thing is, we all are after the same goal, and the ones that rode huffys as kids can now get that hutch, and the ones like me who built trash finds, can do it all over again, only this time without the ridiculing.

when i see a mongoose at walmart, i try and picture the metal being used to make something more useful, like a frying pan, or maybe some clothes hangers...oh well...its out of my hands.

my bikes are tri-moly. that means i have 3 times more chromo than you..haha

Brian,  Did Steve take a job in California?  Last I knew he was looking to move there.  Just wondering if he's going to continue the south Jersey bbq's.
