I can credit BMX Museum for saving my life.......l
For many years I let me self go and ended up growing to be 350 pounds at 5'6". Until a year ago when I discovered the museum decided to get an old frame set and with the help of members, mods and admins giving me tips and tricks. I was up and riding. Like I said its been a year now and I am very proud to say that I am currently 255 pounds and have gone from a size 50 to a 38 and 4xl shirt to an XL. So thank you to all those who have sold me parts, showed me the tricks of the trade, and gave me the inspiration to get off of my ass and get pedaling.
Thank you,
John

Lookin' good John! It's easy to let being a grown up with responsibilities take over and stress a guy out...remembering to "get out and ride" does wonders
Think of bicycles as rideable art that can just about save the world...

Thanks guys. It's been fun losing these last 95 pounds. And that's wat makes it great, that it was fun and not work. I'm going to see if I can dig up a before pic.

wow, thats awesome, keep up the good work, if you even feel like you don't want to ride sometimes, or just kinda fall lazy, keep into consideration how much you lost and set a goal for yourself. Your doing an awesome job.
This is badass to see you did this all on your own without using "let your new life begin, call 1800-get-thin"
Keep up your good work and its rad to see your achievement so far... looks like you can fit 2 of you now into your old pants. Results are definitely showing.
Cheers,
Sean

I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.

Congrats to you - I know what it takes. I did the same thing with road biking about 18 months ago. Dropped a century and ride 6 days a week now. Sites like this one are great motivation to keep at it.

Before I found the Museum I had a fat wallet, now it's thin jk
Great to see you losing the weight.
My neighbor was pretty heavy and he took up road bikes and has really slimmed down in 1 year.

Less weight, means the wang is functioning better. You probably feel like a teenager again! Good for you, and keep it going!
Wanted- White Industries Freewheel 19T and 20T, and Big Gulp bars- because I think they look goofy enough to cruise with!
