1982 Kuwahara KZ-1

Super NOS Show Bike!

I found an NOS Frame and Forks in the loft of a bike store here in the U.K. Then I built it up with totally N.O.S components all period perfect! These include UKAI gold shine-side wheels, Vredstein BMX Cross tyres made in Holland. V-bars, Takagi three piece crank, blue Kashimax Aero, gold Dia Compe MX brakes and two finger levers. It cost a fortune to build - but as I will never be selling it, or riding it, I don't care!

Re: 1982 Kuwahara KZ-1

Thanks for the kind words! I have some blue Z rims with blue Suzue hubs and a Yellow Kashimax Aero that I swap over if I fancy a change. I really wanted Blue Comps to go on it, but as yet they haven't found me, or should I say I haven't found them?

Oh, the other thing I badly want is a set of pads in blue. That is top of my wish list!

Re: 1982 Kuwahara KZ-1

I don't think you should change a thing my friend. This is a first class build and one of the sharpest Kuwahara's in the museum if not the sharpest. The attention to detail is amazing. As for the colors they fit this ride perfectly. Kudos top notch. Cruesixx
