Re: 1986 GT Performer
I just scored one of these. The bars on mine look the same as yours. Can anyone verify that these bars came on some of these performers? They look more like pro bars-not performer bars.

Re: 1986 GT Performer
Are your bars stamped? I don't see a stamp on mine.

Re: 1986 GT Performer
After doing some research here on the museum I'm pretty certain they are the original bars. Japan made performers or at least some of them came with these bars. Just the regular performer and not the pro. I have a japan 86 with these race type bars. I have also seen them on some japan made mach ones. If you look through the museum there are a few other 86's that appear to have these bars.

Re: 1986 GT Performer
Also I think some of the regular 85 performers came with race style bars.

Re: 1986 GT Performer
I still have my 86 Performer from back in the day and it came with those same bars. (non stamped/ regular performer not Pro).
Lookin' for a single dust cap for Suntour XCII pedal. 87/88 Dinky Dyno decals

Thanks for the info. My 86 had the same bars too. I wasn't sure they were OG until I seen them on some other bikes and did some research. They are nice bars. I chromed them and used them on another build.
