2001 GT Bestwick Pro

**PARTED OUT**
Been out of the game awhile (my daily ride is a SS Rockhopper) but I've been itching to get back onto a 20" bike. Picked the bare bones of this one up on Craigslist for $40. My first bike since my '01 New-School Dirtbike was stolen almost ten years ago. She's a bit of a pig right now. Gotta lighten her up. But she's solidly built, and I'm a bigger guy (6'3", 200 lbs.) so I need something strong.
I can't wrap my head around going brakeless, let alone getting rid of my front brake, so the weight savings will have to come from elsewhere. So for the time being, here's what I've got. (Updates to follow as they happen.)

Re: 2001 GT Bestwick Pro

Ended up having no need for this frameset -- this was the first bike I bought to 'restore,' with every intention of riding it, but now with my 24's, there was no need for a midschool tank with little collectable value like the Bestwick, so it had to go.

I traded the Araya rims to getmoney, took off the parts I wanted to keep, and replaced them with stuff I had lying around. Sold it to a mom who was looking for a bike for her kid on the cheap. Glad to see it go somewhere it gets ridden.
