Re: NFL
Heck, I'm a stupid Lions fan so take this for what it's worth but I've watched the Pats last couple of games and they seem to be running out of steam for this blowout/win streak. My money would be on the Steelers by 3. Actually, I hope the Pats run the table. I also hope TO doesn't drop 200yrds and 3+ TD's on my team. Hey, a fellow can wish can't they???

Re: NFL
Should be a good game......but my money's on the Pats, of course! Them winning the last couple games by 3 is just a sign of a great team coming through in the end (Although, the time-out call on 4th down def helped!) When the Dolphins had their undefeated season, there were close-call games also.....they can't all be 42-6 blowouts. Right now, they're the best team in the game.....period. You can bet I'll be watching.....GO PATS!!!

Re: NFL
Brett Favre a Jet?!!!!!!!!!
Say it isn't so!!! I would have rather retired then play for a pitiful team like the Jets!
Although, once I did work on Joe Klecko's house and pretended I liked the Jets. Nice guy. Gave me a big Jets Roster poster and autographed it for me. That and I actually ate Wayne Chrebet's cereal once, "Chrebet's Crunch"!

Re: NFL
Bottom line is this. Brett wanted to play for Green Bay. The coach, GM and President didn't say "come out and play for us". They had plenty of chances to say "hey Brett, your either our starter or you can compete for the job". They never made him feel welcome. That had to hurt. Now they are stuck with Aaron Rodgers who may turn out ok or lead the team out of the playoffs. But you can't tell me that Brett wouldn't have given them a better chance to win. That is basically what those guys in charge of the Packers were saying.
That's the BS in all of this. In March, Brett didn't want to come back. I believe him. But when it gets closer to the season he started having that itch again. I don't blame him. The Jets are now a better team. If you don't believe so then you are truly in another dimension.

Re: NFL
The fact is the Pack has a history of screwing over legendary players. Remember when Stirling Sharpe demolished his knee playing for them, and after he spent a year in rehab, they rewarded his loyalty and hard work by offering him 1/3 of his salary, and trading him because he didn't feel it was in his best interest to restructure his contract.
The Packers are running themselves into the ground the same way the Bulls did when they forced Phil Jackson out. I understand they think if they don't give Rogers the job this year that he'll bolt at the end of the year when his contract is up, but he's gonna bolt anyway because of the situation the club has created. All the Packers have done is create animosity between the fans (who to a one would rather have Favre) and Rogers. He will never be comfortable because the fans won't ever welcome him. From this moment on, all the GB fans will see when the look at Aaron Rogers is the guy that took their Brett Favre away. I don't care how good Aaron Rogers turns out, he's not going to be able to fill BF's shoes in GB.

Re: NFL
I'm going to start my own football team and I want a QB with 1 or 2 games experience max! I don't want some guy who took his team one 15 minute quarter away from the Superbowl. I don't care if he can play another couple of years either or that he's better than 90% of the current starting QB's in the league. Say what??? Sorry Packer fans, your front office and head coach are to blame regardless of their excuses. The only thing Brett did that was his fault was retire to early and he admitted it.
GO BROWNS!

Re: NFL
Brett Favre made Green Bay competitive! I doubt that
Aaron Rogers will do the same!
The upper level management in Green Bay 'has no
clue' about what made their team click! They'll miss Brett
'considerably' before this whole thing is done! Favre will
help the Jets improve this season-assuming they can offer
him adequate protection and he doesn't get hurt!
As for the 'one day contract'-when he FINALLY retires...
I DOUBT that will happen! Too much 'bad stuff' has taken
place to allow that to happen! Favre has 'too much pride'...
and the Packer's management is 'too stupid!'
26" Cruisers...outdated,outmoded...but still cool!
