cw micro/mini/cruiser

i'm about 90% done building my cw micro/mini/cruiser.my problem is,i'm not completely sure what "wheel set" would be appropriate, size and so on.....any suggestions or pics would be greatly appreciated. thanks

parts i gathered:

cw micro/mini/cruiser f/f  (black w/ yellow & black decals)
cw bars (yellow)
suntour "mini" stem (gold)
suntour seat clamp (gold)
uni "hammerhead" (yellow)
uni "turbo" (yellow) haven't decided which "uni" to go with
sugino "super maxy" (gold w/polished spyder)
jp "square" pedals(polished bodies w/ gold cages)

brakes? dia-compe 890's (gold or black?)

wheel set?  24 1 1/8" or 24 1 3/8" araya's or ukai's? (i think "black" hoops w/ gold nipples would look killer!)

hubs?

Re: cw micro/mini/cruiser

I am doing my daughters up with a dk mini stem / ukai 20x150 (narrow and tall) rims, gt fsa headseate, powerlight mini bars, powerlight seat clamp - I still need tires/uni seatnpost and I have NO IDEA what iam going to do about the cranks.  I have a nice 880 dcompe for the brake, not sure if it will work though.

Mine is stamped 'xm' i think it is an 85 (i am at work so i can't verify) The frame/fork combo and the rims were given to me from a friend who purchased them NOS. The rims have some chrome flaking from age.  I cannot find bottom bearing race that fits the fork - they are all just a little to loose.

Post up some pics of yours - I now have the itch to finish mine ...thanks!

Re: cw micro/mini/cruiser

I did a double check on the rims ...ukai 20x1/38w/o ...is what is marked on my rims? The frame is marked xm86 so '86 I guess.

the pedals are great pedals but pro size pedals on a mini looks ............. well you know. sell them or put them on another build

Re: cw micro/mini/cruiser

I'm currently doing a mini cruiser and have used 24" x 1 3/8 wheels.  BE CAREFUL.  there are TWO diamters in this size - ISO 520 and ISO 540.  Don't just go on the "24 x 1 1/8 or 1 3/8" - check ISO sizing to match tyres to wheels.  It's a real pain.

These are ISO540 24 x 1 3/8.
Tyres are really hard to find.  I have ISO520 gumwall comp 3 if needed....!  Mat

Re: cw micro/mini/cruiser

I recently brought a CW Racing Micro Mini thinking i had the right wheels (20 x 1 3/8's) But they are to small?? I also tried 24 x 1.75's but way to big.. not that easy to find 24 x 1 3/8's roll
