1980 Diamond Back Pro
1980 Diamond Back Pro
Restored to former glory....and then a bit
I bought this bike of the bay. It was a good prcice and I have a thing for DB's. It arrived from the US (I'm in Australia) and I thought about what to do with it. I liked the look of the turbo's so I thought I'd base it loosely on one of those.
I set about polishing all the parts while the frame forks and bars (bars are from halsencrew, thanks mate) went to the paint shop, got some decals made up from Mark and his great team at retrospect and gathered the rest of the parts I needed. All parts are era correct and have simply been restored
I'm still waiting on some grips and only then will I put the brakes, but for now, I'm really happy with how it has come up and I'll add some more pics when she's all finished.
Thanks for looking

Looks great! I'm a sucker for the earlier/large gusset DBs.

Love ALL of your DB's! Never had one growing up, but always admired my buddy's Silver Streak. You have an amazing knack for building bikes!

Glorious!
I'm after an '80(ish) DB Pro myself and just checked yours out...what an inspiration.
