Re: z rims restored!!!!
It can if the person doing isnt careful as anything you blast you can damage. Gary will not damage or remove the letters. is there a pic of the raised imprints that are on Z rims?
If winning isn't everything then why do they keep score?

Re: z rims restored!!!!
If you don't have access to a blaster, try this under $10 method. All you need is:
1) Bar Keepers Friend (comes in a can like Comet)
2) Green scouring pad
3) WD-40
4) Your own elbow grease
Before:
30 minutes later:
Then I decided to remove the spokes and do it again.
Sprayed with WD-40, put in a plastic bag overnight and they turned out sweet.

nice work BJEE. I like the media blasting method. of course the WD 40 bath at the end . your way is cool and maybe I will have to try it out.

Thanks. I don't have access to a blaster right now but plan on purchasing one in the future. I need one for my Tuffs. The Z's are easy to clean (especially if the spokes aren't there) but the Tuffs... not so easy.

Have you tried using a baby wipe, alcohol, or even Mr. Clean's Eraser ?

Yes on a smooth surface. But since that is a rough dimpled surface it would be much harder to get all that stuff out.

Re: z rims restored!!!!
Dropped by a friends house who has a blast cabinet and spent 10 mins on a yellow Tuff. Not sure what media size he has, its glass not sand. What pressure are you running by chance? Came out pretty good for a test, need to get more parts together and go back for a few hours.
Thanks

I check the WTB section almost everyday, please try and do the same.
You may hook someone up and make some money to buy more parts.

Re: z rims restored!!!!
I just had my Tuff's done by Gary and they came out fantastic! No doubt a stand up guy, he called me to check details before and after the work to give me updates.
Everything came back nicely wrapped up and shipped. I will send my next sets to him and save trying to experiment my self. If you need Tuff's or Z rims restored, send them to Gary it's worth the $$ to get it done right the first time. Picks to follow once mounted. Above photos of the red Tuff's are mine.
