1997 Schwinn Blue Falcon Brian Foster

dual duty racer/trail bike

I'm the happy, original owner. :) Purchased brand new as a frame and fork only.  There are lots of Atomic Industries parts on it. (from before they went all mtn. bike on us :P  ) Definitely not a show bike at all. Rode for many, many years and still ridden almost every day. Built myself, and proud to say, including the wheels! ( I worked at a few bike shops here in SoCal) Everything is bomb proof! I'd sell all 5 of my cars before I sold this bike! I love it that much!
parts list goes like this:
1997 Schwinn Blue Falcon Brian Foster signature frame
S&M Sean Butler Lumbar Bars
DK Vice Grips
S&M Challenger Ahead stem (inverted cuz i like 'em low!!)
Tank Aheadset
Atomic Industries V-brake lever
GT Elite forks
Atomic Industries Flat Boy pedals
Shimano XTR V-brakes
XTR brake cable
Atomic Industries low flange hubs - Bronze
Control Tech seat post
SDG seat
Atomic Industries finned seat post clamp
Atomic Industries chain tensioner - Bronze
Profile Whippit 45T sprocket
Sachs Sedi Sport chain
Profile 180mm cranks
Araya Super 7X 36 hole rims
silver anodized nipples
stainless 14G spokes
Tioga Comp III black wall tires ( 2.125 front and 1.75 rear)

Heck yeah. This is a really great survivor. Glad it has been untouched.

One of the last great frames that Schwinn put out there.  Very cool pics.

Actually it's a late 1997/early 1998, you can tell by the top tube and graphics.
