It starts small like getting the bike you had when you were in your youth.
Then it's the bike you always wanted when you were a kid.
Then it goes and gets all out of control!!!
The chrome is never shiny enough!!!
You know that aluminum will polish out better!!!
                                             The Anno never bright enough!!!
Paint not smooth and rich enough, has no depth!!!
You will only have little path ways you can walk through to get to each room of your house.                    You will be sleeping in a lazy boy recliner because you think your bikes deserve the master bedroom,(and the rest of the house)!!
You can't wash the dishes 'cuase you have parts cleaning in the sink and dishwasher.
Don't even think about a bath or shower, cuase they're in there too!!
You build a small 10'X10'addition, HA!!
You tell yourself it's for the bikes and parts,Double HA!!
Only to move your recliner TV and Xbox in it before it has electrical drywall or carpet!!!!
You leave the floor cement cuase you can practice freestyle moves on it.
You will stop watering your yard and the grass will all die!!!
Then you will get a shovel and start to make little hills in your front and back yards....
                                                    They turn into bigger hills!!!!!
Then the neighbors will start to talk and point fingers!!!
Don't let it get to that!!!
                                               You may need professional  help.
I THINK YOU MAY HAVE A BMX HOARDING PROBLEM!!!!

lollol im at the little path part.

well lets see.....
paths-done
parts in sink==been there done that..
no shower and bath thing-cant cause i need it...
10X10 is going to be for my sons room cause he shares a room with his sister, cause there is nowhare else with all the bikes around..
we have ceramic tile in the house...we do our freestyle stuff on the tennis courts and local area shoping centers..
the neighbors have been talking and pointing at me for years now..ya get used to it....
i have bikes at work ,my house ,my garage,my car,my moms house...and you probably have some of my parts at your house waiting for me to buy...lol
Grass is allready die'n but no dirt cause we have ramps..lol..
Occasionally still get chased by the cops for no apparent reason, other that being a bmxer!usually rideing at nite!ooo no lights...ooooooh criminal there...

the KOS is really nice, like that Diamond back too. That's rad that you do the restore yourself too.

Found that cooks spider!!! Now how about a beat national pro or whitebear cruiser or panda 26 pro-am raider for a new restore project.

Re: Are my builds worthy to put in the Museum?

I think volcano just jerks off at every new comment he sees up on this post.  I wonder if he really will post up these bikes.  I still have yet to see anything...

(My bad, I thought that this post has been going on for a few days already and not just started up yesterday.)

By the way, here is my comment:  Your bikes are golden to go up here, so let's see them.

Re: Are my builds worthy to put in the Museum?

WOW.....I'm lost for words....so very humbled...thank u very much. smile

Can I say one thing - the positive comments from all u guys (whom have awesome builds yourselves) is amazing.
I never thought that my builds were at the level that I have seen in the museum (that IS the honest truth).

I will post up my bikes in the Museum...I just need to work out how to do it? (do I need to give a detailed description of all parts used?)

For those whom asked: Yes, I do restore all my parts (BIG thank u to Waza007 for letting me use the facilities in his shed & sharing the knowledge on restoring VBMX bikes). I personally believe one gets a great satisfaction knowing they restored their own build (well, thats my opinion).

OK...few Questions answered...

itsdug - I get my own anno work done (I try to restore the parts back to a "NOS - cast alloy" finish before an anno run...seems to give the best result)

martimagico - Whore...maybe, hahaha (Im cheap & easy).....but Seeking attention?...no, wasnt my intention (I hope u believe that) smile

brackett - DB decals can be bought thru OS-DB.net. Talk to Sparky (Mark)...he will help u out.

Scraplord - Got the yellow DB radpads here in Oz (but I believe OS-DB.net might be your best place to seek for them mate...also, yes - I cant believe I scored a Rhino Tange    Axeblade, there are 4 others in Oz that I know of as well...very cool frame indeed)

pitbaldridge - re blasting tuffs...I will ask Waza (who perfected the technique) to post up a "how-to-restore-tuffs" thread...stay tuned mate!

bikesmithe - LOL...the G-boy is a keeper (searched for 4 years to get that one!)...sorry big_smile

tcbmx - My KOS is only a survivor daily rider/race bike...u should see some of the Bling ones here in Oz...OMG!

badbroccoli - "I think volcano just jerks off at every new comment he sees up on this post.  I wonder if he really will post up these bikes.  I still have yet to see anything..." hahahaha...(but I posted a few pics for u)...I'll add my bikes to the Museum soon mate (and cheers for your compliment as well!) big_smile

xtremevert - I love my Shimano/Tange bike...one of my favs for sure! (and the DX cranks & pedals are restored too)

Cheers, Mick
