1986 Skyway Street Beat

Complete survivor

86 Skyway Streetbeat survivor, I chased this bike for a while and finally convinced my friend to sell it to me. It has grey comp ramps but my friend included a set of NOS baby blue skyway tires with it.

Nice looking bike. Your pictures brought out some cool details I had never noticed on these before. I love the way the rear cable goes through the top tube. I also didn't realize these had flat top tubes.

OOps--now I see the cable doesn't go through the top tube.

Classic, thx Matt.....I always find myself looking at the other bikes in the background to see what else is there.

Me too.
I'm not sure when I found this pic. it was years ago. I think Maurice posted it on vintage.
Apparently he was on tour in Germany - and the german freestylers were saying that he looked just like the guy from the condom box.

I think that's how the story goes.

If this pic was from germany - who knows what the bikes in  the background are? Shauff?
Looks like one of them may be a GT though.
:)

Re: 1986 Skyway Street Beat

How did I miss this one?! Cool ride Mike! I love the grey Comp Ramps on this bike! Very cool. Def one of my favorite color combos!!!

Funny picture of Maurice with the condom ad! I hadn't even looked that closely at the resemblence of Maurice and the guy in the pic cuz I was a little too distracted by the blackout area!
