I'm trying to build one now and am thinking about getting some dyno bars powdered with the original bars. They look so good on these! yikes

why didnt you put the cable through the frame? hmm

Why? They worked good, when that bike was still together. Now its green with chrome and has a longer cable. And its no longer my bike. The way it is in that picture is how it was built in the late 80's by the original owner. It was good enough for him, he rode the snot out of it just like that. roll

not a 24" but a 20" with sewups. He sometimes ran 1 3/8 wheels, always being innovative and original!

Yeah, I forgot to mention that the frame and fork were standard size but he ran 21" wheels and tires (1 3/8" I think).  He was so small and light that he could get away with that.  Even back in '87 I was pushing 200 lbs and would have squashed them. big_smile
