Glad it went to someone who loves it....looks like you do ;)

Yeah, it has massive tubes but it was nowhere near my calculations!
Instead the USA Backtrail Pro i have weights more than i could imagine...lol

Schwinn did a good job on the BEAST ;)

Re: 2000 Schwinn Canadian Beast Jay Miron

Are you still there?  I have a set of mint 48 hole Araya RBJ1's w/ XS hubs front and rear.  I guess the 14mm front XS only came on team bikes. They would look nice on your Canadian Beast, plus they would be factory parts.  They came off of a Team Automatic.  The guy I bought them from only rode them literally three to four times.  I was going to build a Garcia Automatic for my son but never got around to it.  I have pics if interested.

Re: 2000 Schwinn Canadian Beast Jay Miron

I already have a set of those wheels, 4x4 V2 XS hubs, rear one has 14mm hollow axle and front one has a 3/8'' solid axle.
The downside of my set is that the front RBJ1 is badly pitted....if you don't mind pm me with the pics so i could see them ;)

Thanks for the interest.

Oh! Btw, i got it a set of the classic Diatech TECH-77 levers (non-locking ones).

Re: 2000 Schwinn Canadian Beast Jay Miron

Araya rims, XS parts, Diatech levers, 4 piece bars, and Canadian Beast frames!

Truly the golden age of BMX products.:)

I was in a bike shop this winter and grabbed hold of a set of lightweight bars. I swear if I really wanted to, I could have bent them in half. I wonder if they would have made me pay for them?

BTW, I finished putting my Beast together this winter and will submit it to the museum shortly (I need to find some stickers for my fork first).

A little it more weight in a bike is good...weight=momentum...plus it gets you stronger. After riding a heavier bike jump on a lighter one you feel like superman! ;)

I actually test ridden a S&M Stricker last month, built up with all the "right" lightweight parts....and the bike just flew off my feet when i tried to bunnyhop over a ledge :P

Yes, they do....good eye in the detail there!
They are almost the same as the Haro Jack Hammers and Bully 4pc bars. Though these are bit taller than the Jack Hammers ;)

Re: 2000 Schwinn Canadian Beast Jay Miron

No, there's nothing dead in here......i still have it & in the very same condition as shown in the pics.
It's been missing the seatpost, cranks and tires to be a complete bike.

The parts are very hard to come by, if you know what you are looking for.
Schwinn XS special parts are uber rare, unfortunately.

Re: 2000 Schwinn Canadian Beast Jay Miron

Killer bike! Love that color! I've got a full XS addiction right now, have 5 in the basement with 2 more frames on the way....one is a raw Joey Garcia El Jefe USA made and the other is a Pro Mod USA built. Going to sell my chinese made pro stock 2 and 3 I think... I have NOS XS seats, cranks, stems, post clamps, chain wheel, hubs and chain tensioners for them :D

Hope you finish it soon and post pics!

I love everything mid school... That's how I roll

Unfortunately, i've left it as is, as i am more focused into GT midschool bmx bikes :/

I managed to come across the XS Hucker tires...and a set of BASIC, Whammy bars...as i've learned that Miron rode these exact handlebars.
It is a shame that i haven't build it yet.
