1996 Diamondback Viper

100% original survivor

I gave this bike away to a buddy of mine.

New pics added 5/29/09

A cheap CL find. Had it around to use while doing some builds. (although my daughter rode it more than I did, hence the tilted back bars etc) It rides great, and is 100% original and complete. A previous owner spray painted some parts on it, but slowly I'm getting it cleaned up. I'm not 100% sure on the year on this one, but believe it to be a 95/96.

Re: 1996 Diamondback Viper

Updated the last 2 pics on this one.

Since I gave this bike to a buddy of mine, it's undergone a few changes. He still wants to dye the tuffs black, but other than that he's done changing it. It certainly looks a whole lot better. cool

Sorry man, I don't get in here as much these days and I never saw this before. He actually brought it over to my house and yes, I blasted the paint off it for him. He then cleared it when it was done.

I don't have the bike to measure anymore, and this friend of mine now lives out of state. Not even sure if he has it still. But, I thought it had something around 19" or maybe just over? I'm sure some viper guys would know the exact numbers.

Re: 1996 Diamondback Viper

I had this exact one years and years ago, felt a lot longer than a 19" (i'd guess 20.5 but the long rear end might of tricked me) love the mags and the raw frame looks great.

Re: 1996 Diamondback Viper

Yeah, it's certainly longer than the old schoolers, and at one time I did know the length. Yeah, I wasn't sure how the raw llok woul dbe when my buddy wanted to go that route, but I thought it turned out pretty cool too.
