Re: 2009 GHP Pro 24
Sweet! I've really been looking at these to buy one as my first racer. How much does the bike weigh in at stock? I'm digging the white w/ black components, the ghp completes are so clean!

Re: 2009 GHP Pro 24
Yeah that white and black is really what made me want this bike. It weighs between 24.5 and 25.5 lbs. Its definitely a great rider. The only issues Ive had so far are that the bars were wide enough for Shaq (i like them cut pretty short), the stock gear was a 39/18 (pretty small if you ask me) and I broke on of the plastic pieces around the headset on my first semi-big case at the track. But its fixed! And like I said, prob one of the fastest and most agile bikes Ive ever been on.

Thanks, that sounds pretty nice, what gearing do you intend to run? I wonder if the red ones look as nice...

Re: 2009 GHP Pro 24
I was thinking either a 41 and keep the 18 on back, or keep the 39 and drop to a 17 and maybe even 16 on back.
Its a toss up because one of my local tracks is kinda fast, and the other one is slow. im trying to find a happy middle so I dont have to change gears every day......

I saw a red 20 inch with all black components not too long ago and it was beautiful.... I can only imagine the cruiser looks just as good.

Re: 2009 GHP Pro 24
Update..... Just put on some links and a 43 up front, so now its rockin a 43/18. I thought it would be too big, but it works absolutely perfect at my local track......

Re: 2009 GHP Pro 24
Hit up a new G! Honestly, I didnt really want this bike THAT much, but the frame was $375 by itself, and complete only $460 shipped. I gladly paid that extra $85 for a bunch of stock GHP components........ Prob one of the most fun/quick bikes ive ridden......

Nice ride...
are the handlebars, and forks chromoly??
someone posted on bmx museum that bmx plus did a review.
it said that the frame has some flex.

Re: 2009 GHP Pro 24
Yeah I must say the BMXplus article was right on. I too had chain skipping problems, the bars were too wide, and the headset snapped. But tensioners, some cutting and some new inserts def did the trick.
The bike is absolutely fast, and it does seem rather delicate, especially if you are not used to aluminum anyway. But all in all, feels smooth and clean aroud every track ive taken it to. Couldnt have asked for a better cruiser to start back into BMX with....
