BMX Museum Awards 2008

Do you guys do site awards at the end of the year?  Nothing serious, but a fun thing a couple of other sites I am a member of, do.

Stuff like:
Douchebag award
Best score award
Best build award
Funniest moment award
Etc, etc...

Re: BMX Museum Awards 2008

That would be cool if u did it for the bikes and set it up how bike shows do it . . . but u could only enter one bike per category for the year.

BMX Museum Annual Awards . . .
            and the
BMX Museum Jackass Awards . . .

Re: BMX Museum Awards 2008

Hmmm... I guess this would have to be passed by the mods... why don't we come up with categories... say like 10-15 of them, and then we all get surveyed and send in our votes for tallies.  I would be willing to do the tally - but, my direction doesn't hold any water on this site so they would need to kick it out to everyone.

Re: BMX Museum Awards 2008

Okay, so give it to me... what are your choices for some categories we can vote on?  We can narrow down the choices in this thread, I will compile and send a request to the mods.  From there they can decide whether they go through with it as far as SPAMing the entire user list and make it all-inclusive.  (Of course, if they don't, we can have our own private little party of shats and giggles).  I can be responsible for tallying the votes and we can ring in the new year with some laughter from 2008.

Hopefully, all goes well and this becomes an annual thing. big_smile

Re: BMX Museum Awards 2008

We must have a "Best Sport" award for Schwinny.  We flip him a lot of junk.

Next potential award:

Dopest Dude with 5 Cruisers out in Phoenix who will lay the smack down on D Bags award.  lol

On a side note, D Bag of the year is already owned by Mister Prime number.

Re: BMX Museum Awards 2008

A 1.5" bunny hop would definitely have to fall under the category of athletic achievements...

"Funniest" is such a broad category... humor happens in everything... it would have to be split up into categories like "best sick burn" and "best jokes" etc....

Don't forget to vote for biggest drama queen!

Re: BMX Museum Awards 2008

Keep 'em comin' - I was thinking... we could call them the BMX Museum 2008 Dundee Awards.  Anyone watch The Office?

Award for the Whitest Shoes? lol

Re: BMX Museum Awards 2008

shoes award would probably go to caleb...also an award for something on the lines of "i met the guy in person, not at all what he is like on the boards"
call it the jeckyl/hyde award... i have met a few members that are on the boards here and sooo not what i expected...

That is really funny...
I've struggled with a tasteful way to mention that on here...

You build this mental picture of their online personality.. then meet some people in person.. and you're like.. What..?? Seriously ???

- The opposite too.. Some people are super consistent with the way they present themselves.

But Jekyl/Hyde Award would be hilarious.
