1988 GT Ricochet

********SOLD*********

1988 GT Ricochet Trials 20" Hans "No Way" Rey designed

I first saw trials bikes in Mt Bike Action magazine around 1988 and I wanted one then. Well, I finally picked one up.
I got it off of C.L. in Orange County, CA from the original owner. He told me that the original forks were recalled due to fracturing. The replacements are a slightly different color than the rest of the bike.
I have a feeling I'll be hurt a couple of times learning how to ride this thing! I've not been on a 20" bike in 22+ years!

Re: 1988 GT Ricochet

Nice. But is the seat meant to be that high?

Re: 1988 GT Ricochet

Cool bike.  I'd love find one but I'm afraid I'd swipe the cranks from it for a pit project.

I replied to your post on your bike, but basically, all I know is what the original owner told me.

I am going to try to learn to hop onto a few things besides the wife though!

I need to get the bash guard repaired before I do that though.

I miss San Pedro and I only left 1 week ago.  I used to work at Bike Palace on Pacific and we had a red Ricochet back in '88/'89.

Would love to find my old Dirt Bike.  It was stolen in Pompano Beach, Florida in about 1996.  It's a '92 with the block graphics on a Green frame.  Pitchforks, Slam bars, King Headset, GT (DK-style) stem and GT/Profile cranks.  Superlace hubs.  Would really love to put this back in my collection.
