2000 GT Pro Series Mini
2000 GT Pro Series Mini
Totally rebuilt/redone GT mini for my son to race on
I wanted to get my son a GT since his initials are GTS. I picked up mini off of eBay fairly cheaply to get him racing but I couldn't live w/the bike the way it was. I stripped it down to the frame, then stripped the paint in two stages, got rid of the spray w/Duct tape (see photos) then used citrus strip to get to bare metal. Those GTs were such a beautiful blue! I asked my son what color he wanted when it came time for powder. As many sons would say, "black like yours daddy". So black it is. Parts list: Not pictured but in hand - Bombshell Mini Revolution wheelset Bombshell Tribal mini CF bars Answer SX 140mm Cranks FMF 36 tooth chainwheel Cane Creek sealed headset Free Agent brake set Tangent Vector seat/seatpost Tioga tires Crupi 0 offset stem Felt mini forks I think my cheap way to get into the sport is now near $700 including the powder coating. Oh well, I had a lot of fun building it!
