That has to be a dream job, right there for anyone that has the talent.  Awesome for you.  What kind of education/experience is typically required for a position like that?  I know there is alot of competition out there for that field, let alone doing clay sculpting for GM!!!  Any of your projects going to be showcased on the dealership floor soon? cool

I went to college at the Cleveland int. of Art Major in Glass/sculptor  Never know that auto companies make clay cars...Its A great job for A artist . the work we do is 4-5 years in the future .the camero was finished 4 years ago.. Its all small cars now.. Hopefully GM will be around for A long time.big_smile

Painting Contractor.Have worked as a Machinist though, that was the most enjoyable. Not CNC though,Conventional , like Bridgeports and LeBlonds.Didn't like the CNC as far as watching a machine and QC'ing parts by the hundreds.Fun to watch CNC machines work though. Also would work in the Annodizing dept. to be an all-around employee.I just preferred different blueprints and making different parts during the week. Also worked for UPS for a period mainly in Management over the Package Cars.

Excellent advice.  As much as I love real estate and the art of selling, having a profession that is always in demand regardless of the stock market/economic weather (JOB SECURITY) is essential to livelihood.  Choose your major wisely and STAY IN SCHOOL.  Although those few years of studying seem like a complete hassle now, they DO PAY OFF in the end.  My parents were very firm and strict when it came to school and I am glad they were.

I work for the largest purveyor of porn in Florida, but I worked as an airbrush artist for 18 years, including some body painting at Fantasy Fest in Key West.  There are few joys in life like the reaction of a woman's nipple when a cold blast of compressed air hits it. big_smile

That is cool.  I was accepted to Pharmacy school at SWOSU out of high school in '92.  I was burnt out on school, and thought I would "take a semester off."  I wish I'd gone.  However, now that I put the wife through school, perhaps she can return the favor.  big_smile

And to add onto my comment above - congratulations to you both for taking the initiative and going to back to school.  It takes alot - even moreso when you get into your 30's.  I need to go back and get my MBA, but still haven't found the courage to do it.  All that dedication without the burden of a family and "adult responsibilities" was so much easier when we were young and free.
