1980 Mongoose Motomag

1980 mongoose

I got this bike for Christmas in 1980. Frame is original, forks came off of a 1981 someone threw in the garbage!!, as well as the cranks, bottom bracket, headset, and seat clamp, which isn't on as of yet. Tuf-Neck Pro Model and Mongoose Bars were purchased in 1982 with some birthday money I received. I also remember buying the kashimax seat and the Tuf Neck seat clamp around the same time. My bike originally came with red tuff wheel I's, so I decided to keep it stock. This bike was originally a base 'goose with a goose neck and steel bars.Stickers are from the MUSEUM and really finished the look.  I even went to the bike shop where it was purchased and picked up a new shop decal! And ironically they haven't changed! This bike is 32 years old and was pounded on a daily basis and She still looks great. I have to change the pic too....I didn't realize I had the Tuf Neck so high! LOL!
