1988 GT Ricochet

1988 GT Ricochet with modifications for competitive Trials riding.

This is my original 1988 co-sponsorship GT Ricochet, ridden from 1988 through 1990. This is a complete and rideable Survivor, modified from stock as follows:
* Fork: SE Landing Gear 24” w/brake mounts located for 20” wheel
* Stem: DK XXL, modified for front brake doubler-pulley system
* Grips: Fisher Ergo
* Levers: Shimano Deore XT Long
* Front Brake: Suntour Roller-Cam, Doubler Pulley, and custom stiffener plate
* Rear Brake: Custom brazed brake mounts w/WTB Speedmaster Cantilevers
* Brake Cables: Motorcycle cables with braided innermember
* Brake Pads: WTB Dual-compound
* Front Tire: Pirelli 2-16 Trial 20J
* Rear Rim: Monty Trials, 19x1.75, scored for better mud braking
* Rear Tire: Pirelli 2–1/2-15 Trial 30J
* Tubes: Pirelli Trials
Original GT factory components include:* Frame: 1988 GT Ricochet 4130 Chromoly
* Handlebar: GT Trials, Chromoly painted black
* Cranks: GT Power Series, 150mm
* Bottom Bracket: GT Sealed
* Sprocket: GT Trials
* Pedals: Victor "DX" style
* Hubs: GT Superlace, 1st Gen with factory solid axles
* Front Rim: Ukai, stock 20x1.75, scored for better mud braking
* Seat: GT Winged 2123, black
* Seatpost: GT Circle Stamp, chrome
* Seatpost Clamp: GT Winged, black

Original but removed factory components still in my possession
* GT Trials dual-crown fork
* GT Trials dual-clamp stem
* GT Trials tires (2)
* Ukai 20x1.75 rear rim, silver
* Brake Levers

I went from riding an Ibis Trials Comp (24" front, 20" rear) to the Ricochet. Once I swapped the 2.5" rear Pirelli and added better brakes it was a game changer.
