1985 Haro Master
1985 Haro Master
Almost NOS - Survivor "Early" 85 Master OEM
SOLD - July 2015 - I found this bike with the help of my good friend Bob (OS_Bob_O) in WI sometime in the spring of 2006. Without his help it wouldn't have happened. The wheels are my original Tuffs and the grips were replaced but other than that it's all original. Early 85 Masters are rarer than most people think. I personally waited MONTHS for my early 85 Master F&F to arrive from Rockville BMX because of backorder problems at Haro (demand exceeded supply). I brought this bike to Brian P's Bash in 2006 and never got it out of the truck - the only person who saw it was Brian Blyther. I just thought that no one would believe it was a "survivor" bike. It has the uber-rare Sugino stamped 400s and Blue-foiled Dominator seat.

The paint on that Master is immaculant!

Re: 1985 Haro Master
There she is.....the greatest bike of all time!
I really wish I still had my Sugino 400's still(someday again ).
Yours is an amazing example!
Considering the fact that it's a survivor this has to be my second fave bike on the entire site(right behind DANSHAROS neon green 85)
This is only the 5th green 85 I have seen come out of Wisconsin(including mine)
This really motivates me to build mine back up(tax season can't get here soon enough)
Enjoy and treat this baby the way it should be.
You made my day by submitting this.
Truely the ruler of all bikes.

Re: 1985 Haro Master
Thank you for the kind words, I need to get some updated pics of it. The OEM Panaracer tires weren't even dirty. The basement that is was stored in had other parts / bikes in it as well. Obviously, this bike wasn't ridden much at all.
This is the start of many bikes I'll be posting. Be on the lookout for A LOT of rare and hard to find Haro parts coming too. I've been collecting for a LONG time and it's time to unload stuff that will not be used.
Thanks again for commenting on my bike, I truely appreciate it.

Re: 1985 Haro Master
You know, the pics don't do it justice either. I really need to take some better ones.
Matt - actually, this isn't the bike I had in Philly, although that bike was in good shape, this one would blow your mind away.
Again, I appreciate everyone's "stoke-ness" on this thing. I've had it for over 2 years and never really showed it to anyone (other than Brian Blyther at Brian P's in 2006).

DOH!
You have TWO of them???
I thought maybe you just threw some rider tires on it for the Philly Ride.
Nice!!!!
Seeing yours on the Philly Ride definitely made me want one - as a rider again.

Re: 1985 Haro Master
Survivors all the way. It would make my day to have one like this even scratched up!
If you check my BITD 80s page at pinkbike (click link below)you'll see mine while i'm drinking on the bumper of a police car back in 1986.
regards
matthew
I'm watching my t.v. and a man comes on that tells me how white my mags can be, but he can't be a man cause he doesn't ride the same bmx as me.

Re: 1985 Haro Master
Wow, that is one heluva survivor. And for an early one, that is amazing. Did the previous owner have any "old" Cuda's or Speedster's lying around in the same condition?
Cool, a new bike. Wait a minute.......where am I going to hide this one. She's going to catch me...
