1991 Dyno Compe

Cleanest and meanest 91 Compe bad boy

I bought this bike in 2015 and have had it as a rider for my son who was five at time of purchase. He fell in love with it right away so we threw it together for him. The overall condition was fine it just looked beat. The paint was so scratched it was obviously not loved at all in its past life. If I had the frame and sprocket and other small parts like the headset and Gyro pieces painted at a body shop that I service as a commercial frontload garbage man. An amazing museum member user name backwards hitchhiker was kind enough to replicate the original decals for me. 1991 is a very hard to find year for decals, so I’m extremely grateful to him. And the rest of the bike I lovingly polished and wet sanded all the aluminum pieces and polish the chrome. I rebuilt the original bulldog brakes with hardware in spring kits from pork chop. I bought new old stock first generation Gyro cables upper and lower. And I used a separate decal set to an older build of 1988 Dyno Compe fork decals to go under the handlebar grips that are clear. The little Dyno decal on the stem and sprocket are stem restoration decals for later 1998-ish Dyno Compe. The stem on this bike has ours an hours of wet sanding and polish to make it look like that. Well that’s about it thanks for looking! Last picture is my son sitting on it in 2015 lol
