Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross 24

Thanks ron. I am with you all the way, pitbulls are the best. I dont use any other brake. I tryed the pit II's but they seem weak to me. The arms flex to much.

Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross 24

Hey thanks boss. I added a little to it over the year. Odyssey red flame rims, red black widow cranks elf seat post. It looks alot better than the pics above. Waiting on a red chain and redo to decals with repos.

Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross 24

I love the double cross frame set. I have this thing for unique use of chrome-molly tubing, anything outside the norm really catches my interest, like the TNT stove pipe, the VDC headset tubes, the GJS, the thruster or profile or...you get the idea. Your bike looks great man.
There is a nice double cross cruiser here in the Museum that recently came up for sale on the Norcal Craig's list. I was all over that franker , even working out transport from Norcal to PHX with a buddy. But the seller would not respond to my "Ill take it" emails. Then it showed up on the bay,  only 200 bucks more than the C/L price.  I was still tempted but miffed over the C/L add bullshit and didn't bid.  Someday I will have a double cross cruiser.   Hopefully as nice as yours.

Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross 24

Dude, that bike is nice! I just joined this site and posted pic's of my partly completed '95 doublecross, I'm thinkin' you can relate to where I'm tryin' to get.....funny too that I have the Black widow bottom bracket, chris king headset as well....as you can tell I"m still looking for parts.  But your bike makes me think that I'm going to have to put some more thought into it! Nice job!
