1980 Bassett Star Cruiser 26

1980 Bassett Star Cruiser 26

‘80 Star Cruiser. Love the way this bike cruises! When I initially got this frame, I was honestly a lil disappointed. There was unmentioned issues, keyhole starting to crack, finish wasn’t as expected, and the rear triangle was kicked out to the drive side. Luckily for me, I have a frame alignment guide and some experience straightening frames. Got the keyhole touched up and realized it was cracking from someone shoving too big of a post in there. Shim and two piece seat clamp took care of that. Then after hanging in in my garage for a few months, one afternoon I just started throwing parts on it with no plan or purpose bought pieces. As it would be, it became one of my favorite go to bikes. ‘The beater Bassett’
