Rare 94 with 1” threaded headset
In 1994 SE changed over to 1-1/8” threadless. This bike that came thru as a 94 but has the 1” threaded set up, so a bit of an oddity. I’ve seen this PK at my moto mechanics shop for, since he’s been my motorcycle mechanic, 5-6 years. Two years ago he asked me to do some research as what year it is as he has only owned it since 1996. It was his race bike. On the Museum I found out the following: 1994 was the second year for canti mounts (even though original racer did not use them on this bike) with 93 being the first year but 93 also still had the pitbull lower mount with downtube cable guides as well as the canti's. 94 was canti only and sometime mid year SE went from 1" threaded forks to 1&1/8" threadless forks and head tube. So a 94 PK, and an old ball before the 1” to 1-1/8 switch over. After showing years of interest in the bike hanging in the Original Racers Shop, the score fell into my lap when I had service done and my mechanic told me my Honda valves are set and your bike is ready. “It will be $xxx WITH THE PK RIPPER”!!! So here it is in all its glory!! Straight out of my mechanics shop to my garage

Nice score Undercover. A bit unusual indeed! The CW bars and Pro Neck are a cool touch.
