See what it looks like cleaned up. Restore
If needed.

Re: Saturday's score!

Wow!
I like restoring so that’s my vote
Maybe if I got out more and spent less time on the museum I’d find some cool stuff too lol

Re: Saturday's score!

My vote is for an oxalic acid bath followed by strategic light sanding and clear coat on the rusty areas. Polish and wax the rest of the frame.

The rack holding the metal supply in the second pic is a nice touch. What's the story with that?

Re: Saturday's score!

Great find! Only original once clean it the very best you can then see how you like it. May decide restoration is best after that. Just my 2cents. Either have fun that’s what it’s all about!

Re: Saturday's score!

My era is more mid-school but I am beginning to really like 80s GT stuff.

What the story on this GT performer?

Specs?

Re: Saturday's score!

Id work on the rust spots and see how well the paint polishes up.  Only original once!

Re: Saturday's score!

The oxidation layer on that paint will come right off. I almost guarantee it can still shine brilliantly! Try it out. Post pics of results.
