So the original bike came with satin Peregrine 48's? Hmm, so does it really matter if newer versions were satin or chrome??

Yes,  thanks for clearing that up...  smile

Personally,  I love the way the straight chainstay bracket just flows with the frame!  coolcool

Me too...And most others do as well that's why 84-85 are a bit more desirable than the 86-87-88.

I had a yellow Rl in my cart ready to go but things turned sour at home during the process and I thought F&^% it.  So now I lurk in the threads and think to myself a quote from the cartoon Madagascar...
"Just smile and wave boys, just smile and wave".

I fully support the effort!

Why does a freestyle bike need a number plate? Asking for a friend.

To collect cash from sponsors by placing their decals on the numberplate.

Or for the same reason people put front brakes on race brakes???  big_smile

Hey, yes this is absolutely possible. The plates are being made in California. We have the ability to use different colors. I may make a few samples.

Thanks, DH.

Re: 2021 RL20II's, show us what you got

New info from Dom for those that aren't on Facebook or in the "The Redline RL20II page" group.

"Redline RL20 II Package buyers, firstly, thanks for supporting this project and for your patience as we move through the manufacturing phases.

As most of you will know, this project launch was very popular, and those who secured a package should look forward to receiving something genuinely amazing this summer. The Redline Foundations Email inbox is red hot with inquiries and questions. We are trying to respond to everybody, but please be aware that it's not possible to answer every question or update every person individually. Again your patience is appreciated while our focus is dedicated to the physical creation of these packages.

Progress behind the scenes has been steady even with the challenges and restrictions to our vendors' daily routines. The features of this highly innovative frame and fork design require us to make a lot of new and dedicated tooling and fixtures. The stages of tube production are not visually exciting, but we will share more soon as things start to look recognizable. The additional package items have also been developing with vendors in California, and the quality is first class.
We plan to create a dedicated page on the Redline Foundations website during April with a password emailed to package buyers to enable exclusive access. The page will include some behind-the-curtain content in video, photos, and other cool stuff. COVID Has limited our travel and access to vendor facilities since we launched, although with the world starting to turn again, we will enjoy greater access to the real-time processes in the months ahead.

Some of you will have seen a few additional products that are in the development stage. We share this to give you insights into what the future looks like, although at this stage it is impossible to provide all of the information relating to cost and availability of future products at this point. We request patience, and feel assured that your loyalty and commitment is respected and noted. The products in development are what you would expect - iconic Redline inventions from the 80s era. We will update the RL 20 II Package buyers as a priority as new products' availability becomes clearer. Please note - It is unlikely that anything in development will deliver before the frame and fork packages.
To sign off, we want to extend a sincere thanks to everybody that has supported this Redline history project, and we look forward to sharing our exciting long-term plans with you in the months ahead. For now, please remain patient and stay tuned to email for news and the next steps. Thank you for supporting Redline Bicycles.

Sincerely
Dom Phipps
Project Manager
Redline BMX Foundations."

Good things, DH. We have the ability and ambitions to create some truly amazing products. I have worked for a few brands on vintage/retro history and as we all know the back catalog at Redline is deep. There are a lot of options. That said, it's not always a fast process. Particularly at the moment.
