2008 Subrosa Armada

MY DAILY RIDE

When I set out to find a frame to build my new daily rider I needed the frame to have certain things , great geometry, full chromly tubing, light weight, short chainstay and most of all a short toptube. The need for a short top tube proved to be difficult to find in this day of 21"plus top tubes. Finally after a long search I found it !!! The Subrosa Armada Subrosa`s top of the line frame 20" top tube,13.5 chain stay, extensive machining to keep the weight down to a measly 4lbs 8oz. This bike rides AWESOME !!! and complete only weighs 23lbs 14oz. I could easily shave a few more pounds off it by putting khe folding tires, plastic pedals & Ti spokes. Subrosa truly makes some of the best new frames on the market and I would recommend them to anyone. Here`s the parts breakdown for my ride. profile ss hubs full ti and 8t driver laced to odyssey 7 ka rims with black primo spokes red nipples & fit FAF folding street tires, demolition 175mm medial light cranks with hollow ti spindle,S&M mid bottom bracket, profile 22t nano drive sprocket, odyssey jc sealed magnesium pedals, profile acoustic stem 48mm, S&M slambars, BBB sealed headset, S&M race forks, S&M thin seat, odyssey intac seatpost,S&M seat clamp, odyssey evolver brakes, odyssey small monolever, odyssey euro b.b.,shadow conspiracy interlock II chain & edwin de larosa grips.

Re: 2008 Subrosa Armada

I just wanted to say that your customization has had me stoked about picking up my own 09 Armada frame!

The red hubs and chainwheel really make that bike jump out at you, and the Odyssey rims are sweet!  I wish I could find more history on the Subrosa brand since there are so many brands that seem to come and go nowadays...

Re: 2008 Subrosa Armada

Getting harder to find this bike as a complete.  Dans Comp seems to have stopped carrying them.  Oh well.
