1990 Haro Group 1 Advanced Composite

Rare frame set, one of 130 made (apparently).

So, Finally finished this build (search Group 1 Advanced Composite build in forums for a build thread). Really happy with how it came out. Parts list below.
This particular frame was only ever made as a mock up, then boxed back up and then sold on. I got hold of it here in Australia and have spent the last year building it up with various versions of parts until I was happy with how it looked. I sourced NOS Parts wherever I could to do the frame justice. The frame came with the original Haro Knee-Savers that were purchased with F/F/Headset from new, but I did not like how they looked on the frame set. Paint is slightly faded on front of headset tube, but is in otherwise perfect condition. The decals have one very slight 4mm graze on one side, but it is super hard to find, even after building it for a year I struggle to spot it.
Supposedly the were 130 made. Of those 130 made, 2 were produced in the darker mustard like color and 1 or 2 were a slightly different paint again, with speckles in the finish. This one has a Tennis Ball logo beside the Serial, and I can only assume it refers to the colour? Of those 130 made, I have located 17 frame sets that I can verify (including one I can confirm was scrapped).
This was a fun build, and many thanks to those in this community that helped along the way.

Nice job. Tennis ball logo is a manufacture stamping. I don't remember the company but the guy's into the 80's bikes will probably recognise it. It's either the company that produced the materials ie; chromoly and aluminium tubing or the welding and assembly. I'll try looking for the msg or email I had with this info to confirm.

Awesome rare bike with interesting frame design. I like the day glo frames.

I can't believe the way people mistreat bikes. It also amazes me how many people don't have any bikes and never ride them - poor miserable souls.

Did you score one? Awesome if you did! I was sent a pic on FB of another, previously non-public bike this morning too. Making 18 individual frame sets I have any trace of.

Yeah DayGlo is the prettier color, kinda glad the Mustardy color was limited to only a couple.
