Made the following mods to give this bike a more old school look:

* Rims - sanded black ano and polished sidewalls and removed black paint from spokes
* 24x1.75" Kenda K52 tyres
* Flip-up fork standers
* Odyssey G3 Gyro
* Odyssey Gyro cables
* Tech 77 locking levers
* Dia Compe MX 883 freestyle front caliper with modified bolt and top nut to clear down tube
* OG Dyno 2188 seat
* Pretzel bars handmade from 4130 chromo tubing by Woods Bicycle Co, Byron Bay, Australia (painted by me)
* Drainpipe seatpost
* Izumi black and silver chain

Re: 2020 Dyno Pro Compe Voelker 24

Thanks!

The more I ride it, the more I like it. Hanging for taller/narrower bars though. Think I have found someone to custom fabricate some in the pretzel style :D

Not sure if I should get them in red to match the frame or keep the current black....

How does this ride and feel? I was debating this or the 29.

Re: 2020 Dyno Pro Compe Voelker 24

It rides nice - easy to get it moving and smooth rolling. At first I thought about some 1.75" tyres, but the fatties have grown on me. I'm digging the comfort!
Not a fan of the stock bars. Too wide and low for my liking, makes the seating position too mountain-bikish. I tried out the bars off my '90 Performer and layback seatpost. That made a huge difference. Feels like a roomy bmx then and easier to pull wheelies. Even still, certainly not as snappy as something like a Sunday Model C for example.
To be honest haven't still ridden it much, been flat out with work. Just put on gyro and 883 freestyle front caliper, but waiting for my custom pretzel bars to be made :cool: Hoping to get out and about more then.

Bars have been made. Full 4130 CrMo to my specs. Haven't received yet, hoping to get tomorrow, but looking good in the pics. Will match the colour to the red on the frame and drainpipe seatpost to match. May take a while to get that done, but a few other pieces on order to fit up in the meantime :D
