Fun fact Thursday. That concave fusion cap with the R stamping is an original from 1987. We found an entire box of unused caps in the depths and decided that they should finally be used on this current  Redline foundation project

Re: Anyone catch this FB post from Redline

I occasionally read this thread. I am still confused? Is this a redline approved adventure? Weren’t they owned by sbs and sold elsewhere? The frame was being welded in Mexico correct? Same welder Lynn worked with at the Kastan Mexico facility? Who exactly is redline foundation?

DOM Phipps is redline foundation.

Lynn may be welding them at Kastan aviation works Mexico or some muffler shop in Mexico?

no CBC  loaned out the RL name for this project for a slice of the profit.

that's why it's taking so long. the fist ones RL Foundation made sucked and went straight to trash can / scrap dumpster.

If they were really going to their core, it would be a 70s Pro-Line that us old farts drooled over.

Re: Anyone catch this FB post from Redline

for the members here that don't do face book.

quote
Here are a few more shots of forks before they went to pre-polish at the chrome shop. We were almost in a position to use original fork peg bosses (inserts) when we found some in Linns stash although the ones we found were from ‘88 and as most will recall, the bosses were lower on the fork where the tapered tubing was narrower - hence the inserts were narrower and “no cigar” on that occasion. I guess we will need to make some 87/88’s at some point to make use of them 😆. Anyway. Some Saturday trivia. [Thanks for your ongoing patience. Glad they are showing progress towards fulfilling their obligations to all the buyers.

Those could also be dual-purposed used as pied piper flutes to lure people to buy more RF stuff.

I heard they already shipped. If you haven't gotten yours, it might be held up in shipping and you'll need to take it up with customs.

Fun fact Thursday. That concave fusion cap with the R stamping is an original from 1987. We found an entire box of unused caps in the depths and decided that they should finally be used on this current  Redline foundation project

Sounds like some hype to me. It's amazing how all these misc parts are just starting to be discovered. roll
