1991 Cycle Craft XLX

2021 Calendar Build. Picked up this original  paint frame from museum member Freedo. Attempted to match the paint on the frame to some Cyclecraft Dirt Legz forks. First gen XLX

When I noticed the pink paint matched I went a little overboard with the pink. Who knows maybe strip the post and fork and try again in the future.

The forks came out pretty good. Those Zeronine pads are knocking it outta the park though. Very sweet build!

Re: 1991 Cycle Craft XLX

I had so much fun building this bike and I learned more about paint than I ever thought I would need to know and have gained a whole new level of respect for restoration projects many of you have taken on. I really appreciate the comments BMX brothers it’s always nice to hear positive feedback after spending countless hours into a build. Now it’s time to get my 24” Cyclecraft started...

Re: 1991 Cycle Craft XLX

Another stellar build, congrats ! Great job on the forks, you nailed it. Really nice and fast looking bike.

BTW, your seat clamp should be a 1st gen. DK, CC ones are the same but double thick.

Sorry for my approximate language.

Re: 1991 Cycle Craft XLX

Great bike! My bike is blue with pink splatter & I want to match it to a seatpost & some Cycle-Craft Fred’z bars. Good job on the paint & the build, awesome bike!

Re: 1991 Cycle Craft XLX

I already told you beautiful! The whole black and pink . I had an expert painted black with the same pink only a splatter. I am thinking it was a 92 . I am not going to lie I ordered a black one and I knew they came with special paint. At that time I wasn’t pleased with the pink . . Now it’s beautiful and to see a similar one even cooler. Great job Hawkf20, as always.

Love it!  That bike makes you feel something.

Life is short.  Spend it!  Always on the hunt for Peregrine wheelsets, anything Standard, Homeless. If you have sold me a expensive bike I thank you for letting me buy the way I did.  Makes it possible for those of us that hide BMX monies from our spouses.
