1980 Team Mongoose

1980 team mongoose survivor

1980 team mongoose survivor, gold Araya 7x wheels, blue tuf neck Patent-pending stem, redline forks, Gt seatpost, tuf neck power disc, mongoose stamped headset, BB, cranks, seat clamp, viscount seat. The stem in stuck in the forks, does anybody know how to go about taking it out without damaging the stem or fork?

Start with a light tap on the stem bolt with a hammer. Flip bike over and spray some penetrating oil into head tube via fork. Let sit...

Yes spray daily with WD or similar and be patient, it will eventually let go smile

Totally radical.  I rode a similar bike when we raced at Hell Track.  My drunk team manager was not a nice guy though, so I changed over to Team Rad after the race.


Tabes for the babes.  My team manager is a drunk.
