2000 Dyno Slammer

My '87 styled last year slammer.

"TIMMY TRIBUTE"

Bought the frame for this many moons ago,  and collected parts for years, thinking "someday"....

2000 USA Dyno frame        "restored"        2000 USA GT Show forks   "restored"1997 Dyno Drainpipe           "restored"1994 Dyno Slammer 4pc pretzel bars - saved from the edge! GT padded top seat - survivorDyno "lip" grips - NOS2019 GT threadless mallet stem2016 GT power series reissue cranks -  new2019 36T GT power disc - new 2019 GT 2.2 tires - newOdyssey v3 cassette rear 48h hub (12T & female axle) used hubsOdyssey hazard 4 bearing front 48h hub (14mm female convert)Odyssey hazard lite rims 48h usedOdyssey bigfoot pegs - survivor came with f/fOdyssey modulevers - only hard part I bought NOS from LBSOdyssey gtx-s and upper thick gyro plate - newFSA "the pig" headset - used by PolancoIzumi black and chrome chain - new
Built finally in 2020, for the spring Corona buildoff.Absolutely happy with the overall finished product,  it looks like I'd envisioned in my mind!
Special thanks to members Polanco, Jasonwisher1987, christianhethemurray, di22co, and cookbrosfan for hookups on parts that I used for this gorgeous build!
The color is prismatic "corkey pink" over "cloud white"Lays light light pink.... but the thicker you get it,  the more it shifts to a solid red/orange.  The color is all over the map,  and very hard to photo. It looks more bright orange/pink in person,  than most of the photos show.
I won't tell you it's dayglow, and I won't say it's pink or orange.Yes,  it's all of these. ... but most importantly,  the dyno that really drew me to bmx bitd (owned by TIMMY!) was this color. It turned out pretty much exactly like I'd hoped. Thanks to rfcarnahan for his PFST build link, it was the nail I hit the color with.

Re: 2000 Dyno Slammer

As I was wasting time today looking at recently added bikes when I came across yours and was not disappointed. Wow that color and the parts on this build all went together like ice cream and hot apple pie. Great build for sure and hope you won something for your efforts on this one because its surely deserved.

Re: 2000 Dyno Slammer

That turned out great, kinda makes me want to find a 2000 Slammer frame and do a similar build eventually.

Thanks dude!
I liked them at least as much as the gt's myself.

Always loved this frameset, but f'n hated that shade of yellow and the decals of the stock '00.
No ragrets. :lol::cool:

Re: 2000 Dyno Slammer

This bike is what got me lookin at slammers. Got me hooked! I bought a super rusty(probably sat on the beach in san diego) 99, near hopless bike that i am doing like an 87 freestyle(neon pink). I bathed it in acid(twice) used Lye to help im removing the seized seatpost(i still have chemical burn marks on my hands months later) had new brake guide and stop brazed onto the frame, waited like a month for it to get powdercoated, and i just barely found a drainpipe, and am waiting for the biscuits coming from Aussie.
Still need a seat, and am deciding what to do with the triple wall wheels that are pretty rough, and the spokes are rusted. Almost considering white skyways.
Already designed the graphics, looking for a printer. This project seems it will never be done completely, and i still love it!
