1990 Rubicon Team Bike

1 of 4 made *TEAM* frames-2@20” & 2@24”

Another bike that was finally finished during this time home due to Covid. I got the frame from Shannon G. who got it from Woody. Also a huge shout out to my boy Stephen A. for the incredible NOS body belt padset that completely set this build off! Thanks for looking

Not familiar with these at all. But a nice looking race piece.

Re: 1990 Rubicon Team Bike

I had a marooninsh colored one . Woody did some deal for Ray at racers edge. I think we got like $10 off the frame or something lol.

I wonder if it was a little different. Though I haven’t seen it I was told the team frames had shorter dropouts. Mine is stamped
WT**TEAM on one dropout and RUBICON on the inside of the other dropout. From what I was told Woody made two 20” team frames and two 24” team frames.[img][/img]

Re: 1990 Rubicon Team Bike

Thanks for the comments guys! I tried my best to build it up just the way I would have wanted to race it in 1990.

Re: 1990 Rubicon Team Bike

It’s been like 30 years I really couldn’t tell you. Sorry.  The chain stays and drop outs look familiar to me on yours and the one other example. My brother had like this blueish green one , and of course the black was available. There was a lot in Chandler, I wish I could find one .

Spot on build . My friend bought a redline drop out Kastan KEX in 1990 from a police auction, it had those exact pedals and cages. What are they ? It also has the same eight ball cap . Also I ended up clicking on your other bikes . Holy shit sir you have great taste and builds .
