1982 BXC Pro

BXC frame, fork and bars.  This frame doesn't have a SN and its believed to have been made by Prodyne.

BXC frame, fork and bars. The BXC bars where possible Star Bars that were labeled BXC. Stem is Tuf Neck (Thanks Brian Hays). Headset is old school bear trap with dirt skirt. Grips are Oakley F1. Seat is a Kashimax MX. Not sure on the seat post. Seat clamp is Suntour. Brakes are Dia Compe MX 1000 1982 dated set. Cranks are Redline 401 full wrap single pinch 180mm and 44t bubble font sprocket. Pedals are Suntour XC II. Wheels are 1st gen Skyway Graphites with Campy hubs. Tires are Tioga Comp III grey/green label. The seat tube has a crescent cut on the top which was what Prodyne and JMC did. The owners Mike and Ralph had contracted Prodyne to make a short run of frames and Mike and Ralph think the Prodyne ones all had the crescent cut on the seat tube where as the Profile and VDC made ones didn't. The last picture is of me and the owner of BXC racing Mike Scanga with him sitting on my BXC 24.

+1 on all of the above! Really like what you've done with this - everything just gels! Gonna have to fave it!! cool

Check out my 1983 VDC-built Trident, 1983 Kuwi Laserlite, 2010 GT Ultrabox 2, 2011 Crupi race rig and prototype Quamen, plus the all things Crupi & old school scene in Japan threads. Always interested in buying used, mid-school race plates.
