VERY NICE HUTCH XL-24

JUST FINISHED UP MY HUTCH XL-24
I BELIEVE IT TO BE A 1982FRAME HAS NO SERIAL #PARTS LIST IS-HUTCH FRAME-HUTCH FORKS-HUTCH CRUISER HANDLEBARS -HUTCH DEEP H STEM-HUTCH SEAT POST CLAMP- REPRODUCTION HUTCH PAD SET-JOHNNY CHOPPER MADE HUTCH TRIBUTE CRANKS -SHIMANO DX PEDALS-PROFILE SPIDER-PRO NECK CHAINCHAI -ARAYA 7X HOOPS-BULLSEYE HUBS-80s DIA COMPE MX1000 REAR BRAKE-80s DIA COMPE TECH 3 LEVERLOVE THE WAY THIS ONE RIDES. I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THE  GEOMETRY ON THESE 80s HUTCH XL's.

Nice looking XL24.

Have the spindles been changed on the DX pedals? They're reversed as to how they normally are. ie, the "slope" is the wrong way.

Im sorry,  im not sure what you mean.   The pedals were taken apart when I had them powder coated,  from what you're saying it sounds like I put them back together wrong.  How do I fix my mistake?

You need to take the spindles out, and swap them over between pedal bodies. smile

I used a mix of blue & gold anno/coloured parts on a chrome f&f. Chrome Hutch stem,SE cruiser bars. DX pedals,Kashi MX seat,Suntour hubs,Tange MX3 headset & an ACS seatpost clamp all in blue. The golds parts are 7x rims,Sugino chainring,DC MX1000 caliper,lever & cable. Oh... and chrome 175 401 Flights.
I'll post some pics up when the sun comes out. smile
