Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

Thinking I needed to buy a mountain bike.

I was trail riding and dirt jumping with a BMX, before it was a separate designation.   I didnt know about pro long frames, coulda stayed on a 20" and skipped years of mountain bike BS.

Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

Not appreciating my earlier lower end bikes for what they were. The start of something that would create lifelong enjoyment. I look back on them now with fabulous memories.

Trading my mint 96 Dyno Slammer with an extra set of Hoffman Chocolate bars for a new GT Tour 2 when it came out sad regretted it for years!

Man, if my f*cking ex-wife asked me to take care of her f*cking dog while she and her boyfriend went to Honolulu, I'd tell her to go f*ck herself. Why can't she board it?

Wish I hadn't sold my Skyway T/A in 1988 to help buy my first car.  Should have sold something else I suppose.....

Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

Wasting time collecting when I could be riding.  It's a strange thing,  I do not buy extra road bikes.  I have the road bike I want and I've ridden it for over 20 years without a thought of getting a different one.  Same with my track bike.  But everyday I check CL for the BMX bikes.  Why am I always looking for another BMX bike?  Why can't I just ride my Sunday and forget about every problem bike for sale 50 miles away from me?

Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

Buying a 1987 gt pro performer with a cracked frame, realizing a total restoration would probably be somewhere around 2grand for all original stamped parts, most on it were era correct and worth the money, I'm reminded because it sits in my closet everyday collecting dust waiting to be revived.

Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

Not seeing what it is today and wasting money on crap BITD.  I could have rivaled Bezos by now.  SERIOUSLY giving my Profile frameset away to a girlfriends younger brother.  Didn’t even get laid.

Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

Letting this project go 6 years ago for what I did. I wanted a new guitar amp and traded it away to a guy who set me up with a new amp. I later sold the amp for way less and it was a horrible transaction. The bike went to a cool BMXer though. I can't afford what these are going for today. And this one was my 2nd NOS frameset I let go before finishing the project.https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/1463/0585f4e87fd20.jpg

Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

I wouldn't kick my own ass for selling it, but if I'd kept my completely thrashed RRS I'd at least be able to replace the head tube and bottom bracket shell...

Re: What is your biggest BMX regret?

Not finding the museum sooner. Oh and getting rid of my performer. And cutting up my old schwinn to make a tricycle so I can participate (and eventually dominate) in the inter-fraternal tricycle race. I did get this picture out of it https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/220163/da4760ad-25b9-473b-b03e-a403dee9024c5f4eb26426.jpeg
