Lightest I ever got as an adult was 205 after 8 months of hard training. I’ll never see that again but 250ish would be ok as a target.

Plans for 2020? Weight loss. Same as every year!

EDIT: Just been for the morning chod-bin visit so, currently 302lbs! lol lol

Arrange a visit to your doctor and have him put you on TRT.You will lose 100 pounds in a few months and feel 10 years younger.

Doesn't work like that here with Doctors, we can't walk in and 'order' stuff from them. Healthcare is free at the point of need so they get no kickbacks from pharma reps. We get what we need not what earns them the most. Usually! big_smile

All joking aside I don’t know much about your healthcare system but if you have money can you still buy the stuff you don’t need there? Or is stuff like sex change operations, testosterone, viagra etc outright banned?

Yes, you're right. Not being hit with a massive bill for medical treatment sucks ass. tongue

When I was treated for a dislocated ankle a couple of months ago in my local ER (within 20 mins of arriving) I was lying there thinking 'I hope I get billed for this or better still the thousands I could be paying an insurance company might cover it, if they pay out.'

I get medical cover for everything from the National Health Service for about $150 per month taken from my taxes. If that's Socialist Healthcare then Happy Days! While the NHS isn't perfect it usually works. Certainly has in my experience.

You oppose our system on the principle that it is socialist, I support it because it doesn't cost me very much. We're not going to agree on the benefits of one over the other, I think. lol cool

I was praising ours when my son, who at the time was 2, was rushed to the emergency room with severe asthma and on the same day I was rushed in with a near ruptured appendix requiring emergency surgery. My son required 5 nights at the children’s hospital. 2 nights for me, 2 weeks of home care to dress my wounds (had a minor complication so I couldn’t receive stitches). Hospital stays, ambulance, surgery, ambulance ride, medication, home care and supplies, specialist consultations...all taken of.

All joking aside I don’t know much about your healthcare system but if you have money can you still buy the stuff you don’t need there? Or is stuff like sex change operations, testosterone, viagra etc outright banned?

We can pay to go private and get immediate treatment whereas there could be a waiting list on the NHS for what we needed, e.g. I needed knee surgery alot of years back and waited 18months for it. I could have gone private at God knows what cost and got it straight away.

Even if we go private we can't buy what we want. The Doc still has to prescribe it. You're relying on the ethics of the Doctor if you want what you don't need. Still no pressure from Pharma though.

Sex change operations are available on the NHS but they aren't common. The patient has to satisfy a lot of different medical branches that it is necessary and wait a long time under strict conditions before getting it done. If someone has a medical reason for needing testosterone or viagra then, certainly, they are available on the NHS. But we can always lie to our Doctors! tongue

We can also purchase private health insurance and pay monthly. I think it works out about the same as the tax paid for the Health Service but I don't have it so I'm not sure.

Private - pay tax AND monthly policy payment. Get immediate treatment if covered.
National Health Service - pay tax. Treatment is free (but pay a small amount at the Dentist when visited) but there will probably be a waiting list for a lot of stuff.

Emergency treatment is immediate and free for everyone whether private or NHS (subject to Triage).

Re: It's 2020, what's the plan?

You want to know a secret? Shhhh don’t tell anyone cause I don’t want it getting out. I don’t pay for any healthcare coverage for me or my family. Shhh don’t tell anyone. It’s a dirty secret here in the US that if you make under a certain amount of money or have no money you don’t pay for healthcare either. Yea I know, you are saying kalel your full of shit because the media says we should have free healthcare for those that can’t afford it. Yea well I must be because my wife is on state coverage, my kids are on Medicaid and I am on the VA and I pay nothing. When I make over 50000 then my wife has to pay 40 a month. Our only downside is we have to go where the government tells us and yes I like it free but except for the VA we don’t have to wait for anything. But shhhh don’t tell anyone about my secret....

Plan:

Roll center correction kit
saggy bum spacers
replace front pass. belt molding
replace both front cvs
oil, filter
trans drain and replace fluid
maybe summer tires
keep looking for the same car with no sunroof and manual (4th gen legacy wagon)
start going to the dentist more than once every 6 years

keeping looking at project cars I have no room to store and no time to work on

sell some bikes/parts
give away some bike parts

Thought I would bump this up with an update since I am actually accomplishing somethings:

Done:

Saggy bum spacers
Belt molding
oil/filter
found the no sunroof/manual wagon and swapped suspension into it (including the saggy bum spacers)
went to the dentist and have another appointment - much stress relieved as I don't need to lose a tooth I was worried about. I was actually sweating when I called for the appointment and was nervous for days beforehand.

Here are additions to the 2020 plan:

Sticker up the 125R I bought and built.
Look for a full face helmet and a number plate.
Get a one month licence for the local track, maybe, at least race the other old dudes on BMX day.
Trade frame pads to ClayDogg for handlebars.

Restore the interior of the new wagon - remove tint, swap interior from cloth to leather, JDM doubel din stereo bezel?

More dentist appointments.

Post up your progress and additions to your lists!

Well, my 2020 plans have gone in the toilet. So the revised plan is to make it through this year because the rest of the year will be difficult.

You can't put a price on peace of mind.

This too shall pass.
