1983 Miyata BMT-5000

Japanese quality trials bike from, approx, 1983. The only one in the museum!

Analizing the info from the Miyata BMX models, where the MX-3000 is the cheap one and the MX-5000 is the top end model, I understand that the BMT-5000 (with its chromoly frame) is the top trials model.

Parts list:
Chromoly frame and forks
Nitto bars
Kashimax cut seat
SR MP-130 pedals
MX1000 type calipers
Peregrine grips
This unit uses Star X mags (made in Italy) and Pirelli ML14 trials tires (made in Spain)

That's cool

Check out my 1983 VDC-built Trident, 1983 Kuwi Laserlite, 2011 Crupi race rig and prototype Quamen, plus the all things Crupi & old school scene in Japan threads. Always interested in buying used, mid-school race plates.
